Bible Verse Challenge
Over the summer,
the children challenged the adults to learn a Bible verse each week. Each Sunday there was a test to see who knew
their verse better. The children won
each of the 5 weeks! Hopefully, some of
what we learnt will stick, so that when we’re in a tricky situation we can
recall God’s word to help us through.
Here are the verses –you might find them useful.
“Leave all your
worries with him, because he cares for you”
1 Peter 5v7
“Surely God is my
salvation; I will trust and not be afraid”
Isaiah 12 v2
“Be joyful always,
pray at all times, be thankful in all circumstances” 1 Thessalonians 5v16-18
“We know that in all
things God works for the good of those who love him.” Romans 8 v 28
Remember the Lord
in everything you do, and he will show you the right way” Proverbs 3v6
Do not judge, and
you will not be judged. Do not condemn,
and you will not be condemned. Forgive
and you will be forgiven. Luke 6 v37
There is nothing
in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God Romans 8 v39
We are often
troubled, but not crushed; sometimes in doubt, but never in despair” 2 Corinthians 4 v8
The fruit of the
Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
humility and self-control Galatians
5v22

commanded you? Be strong and
courageous. Do not be terrified; do not
be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” Joshua 1v9
