Bible Verse Challenge

Over the summer, the children challenged the adults to learn a Bible verse each week.  Each Sunday there was a test to see who knew their verse better.  The children won each of the 5 weeks!  Hopefully, some of what we learnt will stick, so that when we’re in a tricky situation we can recall God’s word to help us through.  Here are the verses –you might find them useful.

*  “Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you”  1 Peter 5v7

*  “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid”  Isaiah 12 v2

*  “Be joyful always, pray at all times, be thankful in all circumstances”  1 Thessalonians 5v16-18

*  “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.”  Romans 8 v 28

*  Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way”  Proverbs 3v6

*  Do not judge, and you will not be judged.  Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.  Forgive and you will be forgiven.  Luke 6 v37

*  There is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God  Romans 8 v39

*  We are often troubled, but not crushed; sometimes in doubt, but never in despair”  2 Corinthians 4 v8

*  The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility and self-control    Galatians 5v22

*  “Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”  Joshua 1v9
